Managers' training: Audits and quality control
Manager need to stay on top of new developments in the industry, both in terms of practices and work tools. Quality does not come from inspections, but rether from the improvements that are made following an inspection. It is the management's responsibility to be able to analyze and interpret the results of an audit in order to take advantage of them and apply the right changes, as needed. Our trainers are themselves trained to internationally recognized standards in order to transmit and apply current best practices.
The custodians interventions and actions not only affect the visual quality of your establishment, but also have a direct impact on the health of patients, attendants, caregivers, visitors, etc... It is essential to reinforce procedures on a regular basis. On-going training contributes to the custodians' development, which increases their job satisfaction and motivates them to maintain a high level of quality to help reduce the risk of transmission of infectious diseases. It is best if ongoing training focuses on your team's weaknesses, which are first identified through procedural audits.
Two types of training :
Group sessions based on the general topics chosen by the managers (Basic, intermediate and advanced level, floor maintenance, ergonomics, WHMIS).
Individual training in the form of coaching sessions. The needs of each employee are determined by a procedure audit or a questionnaire to evaluate their knowledge.
Coaching following procedural audits
It is of great interest to conduct procedural audits to know the skill-level of the work units. However, a result is only an observation of the situation. These audits must be followed-up by personalized coaching to help the employee acquire the skills in the tasks for which he or she failed during the audit. Since a behaviour is difficult to change, a permanent follow-up and personalized support is necessary. Since our trainers have no hierarchical link with the trainee, our team is able to communicate instructions in an impartial and disengaged manner, which allows for openness to learning.
